Servicing
We believe we offer value for money servicing and we are happy to work on all types of bike. You are welcome to check our prices against other shops, it's easy to check prices from shops such as Halfords. We believe you will find we compare favourably, and remember we offer FREE COLLECTION & DELIVERY in the local area for all the bikes we service; so you don’t have to take the bike to a shop or take time away from work or family to get your bike serviced.
All bikes need regular servicing and maintenance to keep them safe and make them easier and more enjoyable to ride. We offer 4 levels of service, ranging from a basic service which is essentially a check and adjustment, to a full strip and rebuild including suspension service. If you are unsure which level of service is right for your bike, please bring it in for a free safety and maintenance check so that we can advise you about what work needs doing.
The price given for each level of service includes all labour costs and any cleaners or lubricants used when servicing the bike. It does not include the cost of parts. If we find whilst checking or servicing the bike that parts are going to be needed, we will let you know the cost of these parts before fitting them to the bike.

You can buy a service plan for yourself or as a gift for someone else. signing up is easy - just click on the link above and fill in the Direct Debit mandate form.
We also sell gift vouchers if anyone else wants to help towards your service costs!
Free local collection and delivery can be arranged.
What will my service plan subscription cost?
Once your service plan begins we will hold that price for the next 12 months even if our workshop price goes up. The service plans do not include replacing or upgrading any parts other than what is stated in the service description published on the website at rugeleybicyclerepairs.co.uk. Any other parts needed are chargeable at shop prices at the time.
How safe is my service plan subscription money?
We have a separate bank account just for service plan subscription payments, completely separate from the operational money going in and out of the workshop. Your balance is always trackable.
What happens if there is not enough money in the plan?
Can I use my balance to pay for repairs?
The plan is for servicing not repairs, however we may be able to do the repair as part of the service. E.g. if your bike needs a new tyre when it comes for service it could be covered by the level of parts credit built into the plan, but just buying a new tyre without having a service done is not. This is not a savings plan.
Can I pay extra incase I need some parts or repairs in the future?
No. The monthly amount for each plan level is fixed. However you can purchase vouchers which you can use at any time against repairs or servicing costs or for purchasing bikes, parts, helmets and accessories from Rugeley Bicycle Repairs Ltd and Rugeley Bicycle Sales Ltd.
Can I draw money back out of my service plan payments?
No. This is a service plan subscription, not a savings plan. Once you have paid money in, it must remain there until your bike is serviced or you cancel the service plan subscription. You cannot treat this like your own bank account.
What happens if there is more money than needed in the plan?
Some of the plans include an amount anticipating parts that commonly need replacing. Any parts credit left over will be refunded to you after the second service. There is no charge for refunding this.
What if I change my mind about having a service plan subscription?
If you want to cancel your service plan subscription simply email us with the details and we will deduct a £20 cancellation charge to cover our admin but you will get the rest back into your account within 3 working days. This is not a savings scheme and your money does not earn any interest.
What if I change my bike/ my subscription level?
Your plan is not tied to a specific bicycle. If you change your mind about the level of service plan there is a £20 admin charge as the old plan would be cancelled and a new plan begun.
